The advertising SDK is given no data from the app. It receives only what any ad network receives to show an ad, such as the advertising identifier, device information and IP address.
Frequently asked questions
Does Fidaura read my SMS?
Only if you turn on Auto capture, and only bank, card and UPI alert messages. They are read and parsed on your phone. The raw text of a message is never stored and never leaves your device; only the extracted facts (amount, direction, merchant, bank) are kept, in an encrypted database.
Does it work without the SMS permission?
Yes. Manual mode works fully without any permissions. Auto capture is optional and is requested only when you choose it.
Is Fidaura free? How does it make money?
Fidaura is free and supported by ads. The ads never receive anything about your money — not an amount, a merchant, a bank or a message. Some detailed analysis screens unlock after a short video once per session. Core tracking, budgets and split are always free.
Where is my data stored, and do I need an account?
Your data lives in an encrypted database on your phone. There is no signup and no account, and no server-side copy of your transactions.
How does splitting with friends work, and does Fidaura hold money?
Collections let you split a trip, a flat or a dinner. They are end-to-end encrypted, and our server relays only encrypted data it cannot read and deletes it when the collection closes. Settle-ups open your own UPI app with a ready request. Fidaura never holds or moves money.
Can I back up, export or delete my data?
Yes. Create an encrypted backup protected by a passphrase only you know, and export to CSV in one tap. Both stay wherever you save them. Uninstalling the app deletes your data from the phone.
